Legal Question in Family Law in California
Standing and breadth of authority in family law.
Trial in 1994, no guidelines, motion to set aside void cs support order made in favor of other. San Bernardino DA is answering instead of other. Dispute DA's standing. How broad is the DA's authority in representing other? Is there any law on this?

Re: Standing and breadth of authority in family law.
Please be informed that District Attorney's Office has the authority to enforce child support orders for non-welfare cases and has the authority to open a new family case on behalf of the County (based on establishment of paternity) for obtaining a child support order and acquirng welfare reimbursement from the supporting parent/obligor if the custodial parent has received or is receiving government aid (AFDC) for the minor child in dispute. If you need more information or assitance with your case please call my office for a free office consultation at 310-839-7700.
