Legal Question in Family Law in California

In the state of California, if my boyfriend is paying child support for one child, and we get married would both our incomes combine and would she get more for child support? He has never been married.

No. Only the actual parents' incomes are counted as money available for support. If you marry your income will need to be reported and included in the calculation of support, because it will affect the taxes he pays on his income, but then the program deducts it out and calculates support based on his income alone. So there might be a slight change in support up or down, depending on whether he pays less tax married filing jointly than he does filing single, or if you are in a bracket that has a "marriage penalty" where you pay slightly more taxes filing married than as single people. Either way, though, the change will be pretty small if any.
