The previous answer is incorrect. Child support is calculated by formula using three primary factors which includes the net income of each party and the actual time spent with each parent. You should have a consultation as the determination of those factors is the complex part, which may include actual income or imputed income based upon net worth of either party. A parent could have primary custody of a child and still pay support to the other party. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
