Legal Question in Family Law in California
How can the state of California keep taking my money for child support for a child that 1) wasn't born in that state nor lives there. 2) had never proved paternity. They have frozen all of my money in my checking account so now I can't pay my bills. Is there anything I can do?

The State of California may have jurisdiction over a child conceived here, or if the custodial parent resides here. You don't provide much factual detail, but it sounds like the parent ordered to pay child support defaulted in the paternity action, rather than contesting it, so by defaulting, they have consented to paternity and a child support order.
