Legal Question in Family Law in California

Out of State custody

I have a 2 year old son in Ohio, that Child Services took from his mother's home. I am not sure of the circumstances of why he was removed. My question is; How do I go about getting custody of my son in Ohio, when I live in California?

I'm afraid you're going to have to contact an Ohio attorney to help you start court proceedings in that state.

Contact the Ohio agency that is responsible for taking the child. Ask the person incharge of your child's case what you have to do to get custody of your child. A parent should have priority in this case.

Unless you receive a written statement that the child will be sent to you, hiring an attorney in Ohio is probably good advice.
