Legal Question in Family Law in California

What state has jurisdiction over original child support order?

My child support order originated in the state of Washington. I live in California, but I am considering moving to another state for a job opportunity. So far, California has been charging me interest for arrears, but the state of Washington does not. When I move to another state, will the interest from California follow me, or is it even legal for California to charge interest on my arrears, when the state where my court order originated doesn't charge interest? My children are grown, and I am only making payments on arrears now. There is no current support involved.

thank you
