statue limitatuons

i am wondering if there is a statue on child support apperantly the women just put my name on birth cert and in 1983 she filed i just found out as of today tht in 1997 the da had a hearing said i am clamed as the father this is 22 yrs old can they collect

You are talking about a case of fraud, "Intention deceit for financial gain." The statute of limitations starts to run when you discover the deceit so get to an attorney right away.

It is very possible. You will need to set aside that judgment and get DNA tests done to tell whether you are the Father of the child. You will need an attorney on this. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
