Statute of limitation? is there one?

I filed for divorce in March 1999 and only filed the dissolution of marriage papers. After 7 years of trying to work things out I finally had enough and moved out of our house. I want to finalize the divorce now, but and not sure if I need to start all over and file again, or can I just pick up from where we left of.

You should probably refile. After 7 years of attempting to reconcile the date of separation has changed, and the court may have dismissed your original petition 5 years after it was filed.
