Legal Question in Family Law in California

Stay-at-Home Dad seeks divorce

Stay-at-home dad, who is primary caregiver to 16 mth boy, is seeking to disolve 3yr marriage. What rights do I have as father and homeowner? Can I get sole custody? If home is sold, am I owed half of sale? Can I move to another state with my son? I have been with my son 24/7 since birth. Wife is out of home most of time. Since I am primary caregiver, can I collect spousal support and child support? I don't see any way of reconcilation..wife is completly different person than I married. Since I am home with son, I don't work (she is breadwinner), so I fear loss of son, living arrangements if I seek divorce, but I can't continue with this kind of stress. Will I lose my son? Can she take everything? She's become a very vindictive person. Help!!!

Re: Stay-at-Home Dad seeks divorce

You asked way to many questions to type responses to on this system. I can tell you this; times have changed. Men do have a good chance of getting custody whereas in the past that was not the case. I see that you are in CAMARILLO, CA. So this case would end up in the Ventura Courthouse. I can give you a free consulation on your case. My firm does family law in Ventura County. You can get my contact info on this system, or go to www.divorce-legal.net. Right now we are offering family law services for $999 down and $150.00 per hour for a limited time only.
