Legal Question in Family Law in California

Step following the service of divorce papers

I filed for divorce, had respondent served. He had 30 days to serve me with a response. I was not served, I assume he did nor respond. What is the next step, rather next form I need to obtain and file with the court?

Thank you!

The next steps may be to take his default, comply with disclosure requirements, prepare and submit a Judgment to the Court. You may need to do some discovery as to your spouses' employment benefits.

First and foremost, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
