Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can stepmom charge bio mom for daycare provided by stepmom?

Hi, I am a custodial stepmom. I work 3 hours a day while stepson is in school. Mom is mandated to pay for 1/2 of childcare. Can I charge bio-mom for the childcare I provide for her son before and after school?

If no, once I become a licensed childcare provider and have other kids in our home, can I then?

Thanks!

That idea doesn't pass the smell test. Its possible that a judge could make such an order but I would be very embarrassed to ask for the order. You married the Father. The child is part of the package. That's not law, that's common sense. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
