Stepparent adoption
I am trying to find the easiest way to have my husband adopt my son. His father is not in the picture and he has agreed to either consent to my sons adoption or to decline he is the father. Can you just steer me in the right direction?

You need to start the process by filing the adoption petition. The biological father's rights will have to be terminated. This can be done with or without his written consent, but written consent is the most direct way to go.
