Legal Question in Family Law in California

Stolen divorce records

Spouce removed a small locked suitcase containing all records needed for my divorce from my closet (we still

remain in the same house but seperate areas)

Can any charges be brought against him? Those papers are all I have to verify my claim.

Thank You very much.

Re: Stolen divorce records

AT THE TIME OF THE DISSOLUTION PROCEEDINGS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THE OTHER SIDE PRODUCE COPIES OF ALL DOCUMENTS IN HER POSSESSION THROUGH A DISCOVERY REQUEST. HOWEVER, YOU MAY ALSO SUBPENA THE "STOLEN DOCUMENTS" FROM PARTIES WHO ARE IN POSSESSION OF THOSE RECORDS. AS FAR AS ANY CRIMINAL CHARGES, I MUST SAY THAT I AM UNAWARE OF ANY CHARGES THAT COULD BE BROUGHT AGAINST YOUR SPOUSE. IF YOU NEED A FREE INITIAL OFFICE CONSULTATION YOU MAY CONTACT MY OFFICE @310-839-7700.
