Legal Question in Family Law in California
Can I stop alimony payments?
I recently found out that my ex got remarried a couple of months ago. They are of course living together, but have told everyone, except the weeind attendees, that this was only a commitment ceremony. Do I still have grounds to be able to go to court and ask that the payments be stopped? I am still paying child support as well

In a general sense, yes if your ex has remarried, and probably if you ex is cohabiting (F.C. 4323 presumption of reduced need).
For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!

The payment of child support will continue until the children are 18 or there is an order of the court changing the amount of suppor.
