Legal Question in Family Law in California

I want to subpoena bank records of my ex-wife. How do I pay the fee that the bank will charge me for making copies? Do I contact them first to find out how much it will be and pay in advance, or will they send me a bill?

They will notify you after they receive the subpoena, and after the copies have been made. They will send you a notice stating how much you have to pay them to get your copies.
