Legal Question in Family Law in California

substitution of attorney

I am getting divorce and my wife is being represented by a lawyer that calls me and has gone to court in her representation. In the case status she is shown as being in PRO PER. Can the lawyer contact me and represent her without filing a sustitucion of attorney?

Re: substitution of attorney

Yes, at least until the court makes her file a substitution of attorney. Maybe you should bring it up at the next hearing. I'm not sure how that would help you, however. It might be best to stay focused on your own strategy.
