Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can I sue my husband for emotional distress?

I have been married for about 14 years now. My husband has physically cheated on me twice that I know of. I have also come across several e-mails where other females are telling my husband that they love him, can wait to spend the rest of their lives with him, they miss him, stuff like that. I have also come across a few of his responces & he in return is saying the same things to them. Is that considered Emotional distress? After all this time I have decided I don't want to work on my marriage any more. I have a really close male friend whom my husband has also known for over 10 years. My husband now thinks I am having an affair with this person. Can my husband sue this person for any thing? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Re: Can I sue my husband for emotional distress?

Neither of you can sue each other for anything. Neither of you can sue other people for anything. When a marriage is over, it's over. Time to file for a divorce and move on.
