Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do I sue the non custodial parent for child care expenses. My child support order doesn't cover childcare expenses that I have already paid for prior to the order being established.

Childcare expenses are a form of child support, which means that you need to file a motion for modification of child support and ask for an equal division of childcare costs. The order can only be made retroactive to the date of filing, so it is important that you file as soon as possible. You will also need to provide proof of your childcare expenses in the form of receipts, cancelled checks, etc.
