Legal Question in Family Law in California

Does support end at 18?

My daughter is 18 and going to college in the fall. I was under the impression that support continued until she was out of college, he says no. Does my ex have to continue paying support during that time? And if he does have to continue to pay is there any way that the payment can go directly to her at school in her name? College is so much more expensive, how much does he actually have to pay? She has a scholarship and the only amount that has to come out of our pockets is $1,789.00 per year, but there are expenses outside of books and classes. Does the payment stay the same as it is now or does it go up? I know this is a bunch of little questions but they're all pertaining to the same thing, support. Thank you for any help.

Re: Does support end at 18?

There is no statutory duty to support his daughter after she is 18 and has graduated from high school.
