Legal Question in Family Law in California

I'm Supposed To Get My Son On Alternating Weekends (No Set Dates), & My Ex Husband Hasn't Allowed Me To Have Him On ANY Weekend In 3 Years. He Only Allows Me To Pick Him Up From School Twice A Week For Only A Few Hours At A Time. Is There Anyway I Can Change Custody Orders Due To The Fact That He's Not Abiding By The Court Order? He Claims We Had A Verbal Agreement, But I Remember Asking For My Son, & He Said "NO! If I Go To The Courts, I'll Never See My Son Again." - I Am Completely Broke, & Cannot Afford A Lawyer. I'm Terrified Because They Probably Will Get One If I Go To Court. I'm Afraid Of Losing My Son. I'm A Good Mother. No Smoking, Drugs, ETC. I AM Unemployed - Live With My Parents, (Trying To Get On SSI), But Do What I Can For Him. I Need Help!

You don't need to change the custody orders, you need to get him held in contempt of the existing order. Contact the Family Law Facilitator's Office at your local Family Court. They can help you with the paperwork. If he is employed and/or has assets he might also be ordered to pay your attorneys fees. So you might be able to find an attorney to help. Lastly you don't mention child support, but if he is working and you are not, he owes you child support. Contact the Department of Child Support Services about that.
