Legal Question in Family Law in California

surveilance-legal?

is it legal to install a surveilance system w/audio(with

video tape recorder)

in my driveway, to deter my neighbor from

harassment(threats,insults)?

we recently tried to get a restraining order and lost

beacuse the judge said the threats on videotapes we

took with a camcorder ''didnt look like they were

directed at me and my wife'' although it was very clear.

is it possible her age was a factor, she is 86 years old

and showed up with a cane and making fake twitches

and moans(in our two years of living there she never

used a cane.)at that age does she become a liability to

the city if arrested?

Re: surveilance-legal?

You can install video cameras for security on your property. Installing them so that they are easily seen may solve your problem.
