Legal Question in Family Law in California

Taking spouse's personal property

I am going through a divorce and when my ex left the house which

is now for sale, ex took my personal property which I acquired

before marriage. What are my legal rights to get them back? The

items that I am asking for are a total worth of about $20,000.00.

Can I file a theft charge?

You should file a motion to recover your separate personal property that he took. Also to determine the value of the property. You should be able to an order for him to return the property or pay the cash value to you from his share of the assets.
