tattoing a minor

is it legal in the state of california to allow your 14 year old child to get a tattoo? if not what is the punishment of this?

Re: tattoing a minor

It is unlawful in CA to give a minor a tattoo. There is no exception for consent by a parent or guardian. The artist bears the penalties.
