Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do I know if he isn't telling the truth about his income?

He is a manager for Starbucks but only makes $2300 a month and has rentals but they were excluded from his additional income, how do I find out if his income tax return is telling the truth and if his true income is what he says it is? Can I request the DA to investigate so that my son gets the child support due to him?

Do discovery! Subpeona his work and tax records. Open a case with the DA. Did you do this without a lawyer? I am not sure how his rental income would not have been included in the calculation but it sounds like an error to me.

Hire a private investigator.

Above all, retain a lawyer.
