Legal Question in Family Law in California

Termination Of Guardianship/ Of Minor Child

we have legal guardianship of our grandson for 4 years now, he is 15 years old now, has emotional problems, recently diagnosed as having Anti Social Personality Disorder, will not comply with any rules, and will not comply with doctors recomended treatment. Completely out of control, expelled from school, impulsive acts resulting in 3 citations in the past 2 months, we love this kid, but maybe this is not the best inviorment for him, We are considering terminating our legal guardianship, how do we go about doing this if we decide to go forward with this? What forms do we need? and where do we get them? This is a very sad situation, but don't know what else to do!

Re: Termination Of Guardianship/ Of Minor Child

Have you consulted with the school about an IEP for your grandson. This is an individual education plan. I am aware of situations in which the child was sent to a special school full-time for psychological treatment and counseling. If the school will not provide the services necessary then consult with the department of social services about a group home or other treatment plan.
