Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am thinking of divorce from my wife, we have one child together and I expect to pay child support for my son. She has 3 children from previous relationship's can i be forced to pay child support for my current step-children? We have been married 2 years and she receives no child support from the biological fathers.

Mr. White is directly correct, but indirectly not. You cannot be required to pay support for those children unless you adopted them. However, she will be entitled to what is called a "hardship deduction" for them, which will decrease her income available for her share of supporting your child, thereby increasing the amount you pay.
