Legal Question in Family Law in California
I thought my divorce was final on 09/01/09 in the state of california and remarried in hawaii on 09/09/09. I just received paperwork in the mail stating my divorce is final 12/12/09. What kind of trouble am I in? My ex husband knows I remarried and is threatening to get me in trouble. I am not sure what to do except redo the marriage after 12/12/09. Any advice?

That's exactly what you need to do. Your marriage in Hawaii was not valid because your marital status from your prior marriage was not yet terminated. Just redo the wedding with your new husband after 12/12/09 and you will be fine.
If you would have problems getting married again in December, it is possible you could obtain a nunc pro tunc order on the divorce, depending on why you thought it was final 9/1 and why it wasn't.
