Thought I was divorced, got married????

I got married 8 years ago, my husband and I at the time only stayed together for a total of 7 days. We talked about 3 years after it all happened and he said that he would get the papers and get divorced. We got married in Reno, NV at the time I lived in CO and he lived in CA. Well we lost touch. 3 years ago I got married, in CA and signed the form stating that I had not been married before. Well 8 months ago, being in the same state, my first husband and I got into contact and he told me that he had never filed for divorce, but now was and we were offically divorced 5-5-05. So, what should I do now, am i married to my second husband. Now that I am divorced to the first or do we have to get remarried????

The safest course of action would be to get remarried. You should investigate confidential marriage procedure. This procedure would result in the marriage license being confidential and not open to the public.
