Legal Question in Family Law in California
Threatening a minor
We live in Santa Clarita California. Our son is 14yrs.we have had neighborly disputes for over a couple months.Yesterday my son texted a message to this girls cellphone.Called her a f------ Dike. The dad came outside to my property and pushed the cellphone in my sons face and was screaming at him.I called the Sherriff's Dept. They said the father had every right to come out and yell or hit my son.The girl that lives next door is quit the instigator she has said horrible things about my 9yrold daughter and makes accusations constantly. The neighbor put cameras in front of his house one in which points right into my driveway. The sheriff didn't really want to hear our side of the story. He more-less persocuted me and the way I raise my son ''my son is horrible etc.The neighbor's are saying that my son follows there daughter in the street with his skateboard etc.I thought the street was public property. My son has never threatened there daughter. The sherriff more-less treated the situation with kids gloves for our neighbor. And we were the bad guys.I thought you could never threaten or hit a minor no matter what they say. There is more history to the situation but not enough space to do it. What is the law for our area?

WOW. I cant believe the sheriff said it was fine for the neighbor to come over and do those horrible things. First of all you need a lawyer. The only reason they are doing this is because they see that no legal action is being taken. Then you will need the name and badge number of the sheriff that came out to your house and made those comments. Our law office would love to represent you in this matter. What these people are doing to you and your family is wrong. We can help. Call us. 760.243.5121.
Thanks and God Bless.
