Legal Question in Family Law in California

threats

I have been having family issues, my father who I believe has threatened my family. He is trying to get my husband fired from work, keeps threatening to call cps, and he blackmailed. If I don't let my daughter see him this weekend, he is going through with all this stuff he says. And he wanted a phone call back by a certain time or he was going to do something. What would this be considered?

Re: threats

This is not good, what are you doing? Your Dad has serious issues, should he really be around your child at this time? The legal term for "blackmail" is "extortion."

With any kind of "threat," I wouldn't let him see the child, and with any kind of threat that should cause concern for the good of your child, I'd call the authorities.
