Legal Question in Family Law in California

Todas is our first visit rdenes by a temporary court order and dad has the kids from Friday till Sunday 8pm. The ages of kids are 8,4 and 2 so the youngest is in diapers. Temp. Order states dad is required to provide a sleeping arrangement and clothing along with all necessary items like diapers to provide care for the kids. I believe (I could be wrong) that father has none of the things needed for the children. I asked if I could go he denied my request so my question now is it ok if I contact a police department and request a welfare check just to keep me from worrying if they have a bed or a safe place for them to sleep

Unless there's some serious health and safety issues, calling the police would not be a useful option. What you really need to be doing is work with a coparenting mediator to assist on these sorts of issues to ensure that the orders are being properly implemented. If there are continuous problems on following the orders, then you have a qualified third-party who has viewed and can interpret these issues for the court. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your options.
