Legal Question in Family Law in California

Translation

My boyfriend is going through spousal support court for 5 years and because his English is not enough to communicate with the Judge, every time he is paying to interpreter $500-$800 per hearing. Now I receive an official Interpreter Certificate-License. Can I legally interpret for him in the court? Do we need to ask permission from the other party?

Thank you very much!

Re: Translation

It's up to the judge but you should be able to interpret for him.
