Legal Question in Family Law in California

Is it true that at any time during a case and only one time you may dismiss a single judge for bias? What if you have been fighting through a couple of appeals that were initiated but not completed? Can you still use the 170.6 for bias at that point?

If you are on appeal what do you care about who the trial judge was? You need to consult in person with an attorney, because there are other issues that are more important in your case. You can always have a judge excused automatically if you have a full reversal of an issue on appeal. But there are special rules and procedures to do this.
