Legal Question in Family Law in California

trust fund

the minutes from my last divorce hearing says my attorney must give me and my ex $5000.00 each from the trust fund. Is he bound by law to give me this money? because he is trying to give me just $500.00

Re: trust fund

You should examine the court order and then you should file a motion to enforce the order if he refuses to follow the court order.

Always consult with a lawyer in your area prior to making legal decisions. Good luck!

Re: trust fund

Tell your attorney that you want the $5,000 within 5 days or you will contact the state bar. Also demand an accounting of the money in the trust account. You should also consider an exparte request with the court for the money to be transferred to either your ex's trustee count or deposited with the court clerk.
