Legal Question in Family Law in California

Re Not Your Typical Harassment

Mother and Father share joint physical/legal custody. Father filed Domestic Dispute (Harassment) for himself and grilfriend in Family Law against Mother to have exchange of minor child take place at a police station. Mother scraped enough money together to hire an attorney, was ready to go in with witnesses, etc., Father dismissed Harassment Action and only went forward with later filed OSC. OSC was denied. Father's girlfriend then filed Civil Harassment in a different courthouse (jurisdiction acceptable) but papers again ask for MOther to be restrained from Father's home (not girlfriend's) and exchange be done at police station. Father filed civil harassment a week later in same courthouse as girlfriend. MOther is spending a lot of money, losing time from work and wasting a lot of time and effort defending baseless suits. What can I do to end this nightmare?

Re: Re Not Your Typical Harassment

I strongly recommend you work with each other to end the nonsense. What is going on is completely unproductive and a waste of time, effort and money. Using the courts and attorneys to work these types of situations out is inefficient. Try a new approach to meeting and interacting.

Good luck-Martin
