Legal Question in Family Law in California

i am unable to care for my child financially and soon physically. his biological mother is deceased, his own blood family doesn't want him around. the only person is my father in law. he wants to adopt him. which would be better in our situation, to adopt or guardianship? but, in a few months my father in law will be moving to the philippines. will that be a problem or not? if there is a problem, is there anyway to approach that problem and make things work out?

If you want him to have the child permenantly, adoption is best. If you want the possibility to remain open, then guardianship is the way to go. Adoption would be the smoothest option for him leaving the country. It could work in guardianship too, but would be more complicated.
