Legal Question in Family Law in California
i have an uncontested divorce case. I have already filed and he has responded. We already split everything a year ago and do not own any property or have kids. What is the next step? The court website is a bit confusing

The best way to do uncontested divorces if you both agree is to start at the family law facilitator's office in your court house . They can assist you with preparing all of your paperwork and helping it go through the court correctly. You can also try your local law library for self help books on do it yourself divorce. The process is confusing but you can do it if you gather some resources. You are saving yourself money by doing it yourself so you are responsible for doing it correctly and representing your interests.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
