They can assist you with preparing all of your paperwork and helping it go through the court correctly. You can also try your local law library for self help books on do it yourself divorce. The process is confusing but you can do it if you gather some resources. You are saving yourself money by doing it yourself so you are responsible for doing it correctly and representing your interests.
