Legal Question in Family Law in California

Unmarried owned home together seperation

I was with a man for over 15 years (never married), we owned a house together for 10 years, recently lived in a mobile home, do I have any right to anything? He has excluded my name from all of his assets. He said I would get nothing.

If you were never married and have no children together you have no case in the Family law court. The "palimony" cases are based upon contract law. The theory being that there was an oral contract for spousal support like payments in return for services (not sex) rendered during the relationship. Otherwise, you may have some claim based upon your partnership in the house which you sold. Whether or not you have any claim on this man's money I would urge you end this relationship. He obviously feels nothing for you and enjoys having you grovel.
