Legal Question in Family Law in California

Vehicle

My ex-boyfriend and I resided together for 7 years and had 2 children. During that time, he purchased a vehicle that was meant for me. He had 3 others at the time and I was the only one insured; he was excluded as a driver. During the relationship, he had my name taken off of the registration, without my knowlegde and now that I have left, he has taken the vehicle. My question is: Do I have any rights to this vehicle?

Unless you can prove that it was a gift, then no, it is his car. I am unclear how he "had your name taken off the registration." Regardless, it is probably his car.
