Legal Question in Family Law in California

Venue question re: OSC filing...

I have visitation problems with my daughter and am about to file an OSC in LA Superior Court as my ex-wife lives in Los Angeles. I am moving from LA to Sacramento but constantly visit LA and prefer the LA court, my question is: can I file in LA on the basis that she lives here or should I use a local c/o address for myself on the papers... Please advise the rule on this. Thank you, --name removed--

Re: Venue question re: OSC filing...

LA is the proper venue for the filing of a child custody and visitation issue, as that is the county in which the child resides.
