Legal Question in Family Law in California

Verbal Agreement

When my ex-wife and I divorced we agreed that neither of us would collect child support, I had the children for the first 11 years and paid all there cost, clothing, medical, and housing etc., now she has them and I've been ordered by the court to pay support is there any action I can take and if not can I go to court to be reinbursed for half the upbringing of the children.

Thank You

Re: Verbal Agreement

You cannot get a court order for reimbursement of the costs of you incurred supporting your children. Nor can you use this to reduce the amount of child support that you can be ordered to pay.
