Legal Question in Family Law in California

violation of court order

On April 22,2009 the court gave me my two daughters and gave my ex alternating weekend visits. The first two visits went good then the month of June came and she did not pick them up once all month. Now that 4th of July is coming she wants them that weekend. What should I do?

Re: violation of court order

Follow the court order, what does it say? It likely doesn't say anything for a failure to follow the schedule, like for example that notice has to be given for changes or there are penalties or that if any 2 consecutive or 3 consecutive scheduled visitations are missed, that visitation terminates until further order of the court.

I suggest you keep a calendar, or perhaps sign up for myfamilywizard.com to track things. I think you need more of a track record of violations before you can look at changing things, like for example, having 1 time/month if 72 hours notice is given.
