Legal Question in Family Law in California
Visitation
My daughter has had no contact with her father in four years. Lately, her child support order was modified and increased. Now, her father wants reasonable visitation. She is 16, and there is a history of emotional abuse from her father. My daughter does not wish to visit with her father. How likely is it that the court will honor her decision in this matter? Should I get my own attorney to protect her?

Re: Visitation
yes, get a lawyer if you feel the child will be at risk at all. if you dont protect her no one will. in most cases where there has been little visitation a lawyer can servely limit any visitation and get supervised visitation.
