Legal Question in Family Law in California

visitation: help

Honestly can a man who has refused and never accepted or been a childs life for 7yr almost 8yr actually get any kind of unsupervised vistation with a child that the child barely knows? The man is doing this out of retaliation and does not have good intention concerning the child. He is only pretending to want a relationship. Is there any way to stop him from playing these games, from doing this? Theres got to be a way

Re: visitation: help

The key would be to present the relevant facts at both mediation and at any court hearing regarding the custody. It sounds like you have good facts to support your argument they just need to be presented appropriately. Since you are local contact the office if you would like to come in and discuss the details of your situation.

Certainly if he is the father he has a right to petition the court for enforcement of his parental rights. However, if he has not made contact with the child knowing that it was his child you may petition the court to terminate his rights. Contact me directly for assistance.
