Legal Question in Family Law in California
visitation perameters for non custodial parent.
I have joint custody of my daughter with my ex having visitation every other weekend, and want to know what the legal distance is for him to have to drive to pick her up or if legally we would have to meet half way.

NOW, IN RESPONSE TO YOUR INQUIRY --
Transportation arrangements are whatever you and the other parent can agree to, or whatever the court orders if you can't agree. Read your order. If it is silent on transportation, then contact an experienced Family Law attorney for specific advice and possible representation on your behalf.

There are many ways to do this such as meeting half way or the receiving parent doing the driving. If the parents can not agree, one of you may have to ask the Court to modify the underlying order.
Good luck to you!

Re: visitation perameters for non custodial parent.
Generally, the parents should share the transportation. The pick up arrangements are within the judgment of the judge, if the parties do not agree. However, if one party moves a substantial distance from the other party a judge might order the party who moved to provide the transportation, since they are the parent who made the voluntary choice.
