Vista court granted grandmother temporary guardianship on a form of all lies/per
I am the mother of a 1 yr old girl. I planned my baby. No contact with father of child by preference. My mother took her from my home to babysit, then refused to give her back, filed for AND GOT in one afternoon, temp guardianship, with a hearing set 4 weeks later! During this time, a total of now 8 weeks, I have not been allowed to phone her, see her, hold her. The claims the grandma signed were (perjury) were pretended to not know my address. Pretended I am Homeless. Pretended I am a manic-depressive.Pretended she is acting in babys best interest because I supposedly don't get food, etc. She lied even on the dates she had baby-claimed 3 months(to file in her county) not mine, babys. No investigators ever contacted me, or checked out her!. SHE is on medication, sees shrinks, has fights in her home, doesn't work, and wants the babys welfare and food stamp benefits. If the court ever looked, she and my dad-still with her- had trial for child molestation of myself and sister. HOW has this happened? Am I going to lose my baby to a freak with a history of abuse to me? Will the court take my baby away to foster homes? THIS? ANYONE can lay claim to my baby and just refuse to give her back !

The only thing I would recommend is to hire an attorney to get custody of the child back. If you did not contest the guardianship proceedings or did so on your own, that is probably the problem. I never, ever recommend that someone represent themselve in this type of proceeding.

It is very easy to get a temporary guardianship. Your mother still has to have a hearing on the permanent guardianship. You need to hire an attorney to protect you and help you get your child back. If you would like to discuss the matter in greater detail, feel free to call me.
