Legal Question in Family Law in California

vistitation

My ex and I agreed to let our daughter spend Thanksgiving with him. I told him that was fine just as long as he has the baby back on friday by 8p.m. I emailed him a month ago letting him know that I was requesting the weekend of november 29th for my daughters first birthday party. The court order states that he has to give me 1 to 2 week notice he gave me a 9 day notice that he wanted her that whole weekend. But I already requested the weekend. So do I still give him the baby for thanksgiving I feel like I cant trust him to bring her back in time for her birthday party. What percautions can I take about the situation. Im not violating the court order if I gave him a month an advance.

Re: vistitation

You should consider letting him have her during that time. If he doesn't bring the baby back on time you can celebrate her birthday on another day, it's really not a big deal. Trust me your baby is more concerned about have the celebration and the date. In fact, you should discuss it with him and consider letting him keep the baby through the weekend. It could improve your relations as parents.
