Legal Question in Family Law in California

Wage Assignment

My X is collecting Worker's Compensation Benefits. My question: Worker's Comp. has been served with a Wage Assignment (Court ordered) for Spousal Support & Child Support arrears. The problem being my Attorney says they are just ignoring it. Don't they have to abide by a court order? I would just like another opinion because my Attorney doesn't seem to be following through with anything, when I know there has to be something she can do. What? I don't know, that's what I am hoping you can tell me. Please help, so I know where to go from here. I would so much appreciate any info. you can share with me. Thank You

Re: Wage Assignment

You should be discussing this matter with your attorney. Worker's comp insurance routinley withhold child suppor payments from the benefits they are paying. It is a violation of a court order and the law to refuse to withhold child support when the served with a withholding order.
