Legal Question in Family Law in California

Waiting for Final Judgement

During my default hearing, the judge granted my divorce. The minutes showed that all assets/debt to be separated. There are no property division. This is what I wanted it, because we have no issues with property, debt, etc..Does this mean that when I get my judgement in about 10 weeks, everything under my name will be mine, and everything under my ex will be hers? Thanks.

Re: Waiting for Final Judgement

You should take the judgement to an attorney for a review. If the judgment doesnot state that the property in your possession is yours and the property in her possession is hers then the property may not be adequately dealt with. If the property is omitted from the judgment she may be able to come back later and request its division.
