Legal Question in Family Law in California

Wanting to move out of the country, please help

I currently have no paperwork stating that i have custody of my daughter(2 yrs old) but her father has not been involved in her life what so ever. He has recently told me he is leaving the state of CA to somewhere in IL, and demanded to see his daughter. i didn't allow him to because this is the first time in over a year he has even asked and he insisted that it wasn't in a public place. On the other side, i am getting married to a good man who is in the milliary and has been stationed overseas. i would like to go with him, but am i allowed to take my daughter there even though her father has not been in her life or given me child support? should i go to court and request sole custody? if so would i still be able to go with my soon to be husband or would i be stuck here in Califoina?

Go to court and ask for custody and move-away orders. Highly likely you will get custody and be able to take your daughter with you since her father hasn't been involved with your daughter.
